About the QR code generator

Create a QR code for a link or text, Wi-Fi network, email, phone number or SMS, and download it as PNG or SVG. The code encodes your content directly, with no redirect service in between. It never expires and is not tracked.

Options

  • Error correction lets a code survive damage or a logo on top. Levels are L (7%), M (15%, the default), Q (25%) and H (30%). Higher levels make the code denser.
  • Margin: scanners need a quiet zone around the code; 4 modules is the standard.
  • Colours: dark modules on a light background scan best. Low contrast or inverted colours trigger a warning.
  • SVG stays sharp at any size and is best for print. PNG is exactly 256, 512 or 1024 px square: modules are whole pixels, and any spare pixels go into the white margin.

Wi-Fi codes

Phones join the network when they scan the code. Special characters in the network name and password (; , : " \) are escaped automatically. The password is kept only in memory: it is never saved in your browser.

Is my data private?

Yes. The code is generated in your browser, and nothing is sent anywhere.
